Searching the World Wide Web
Make sure your search engine settings are set to show only safe results. An adult can do this for you.
Don’t click on sponsored links, advertisements or any windows that pop-up.
Advertisements have things on the website that are different to what you were looking for: like a sofa on a website about baby pandas.
Sometimes they say ‘Ad’ or ‘Advertisement’ on them.
Ask permission from an adult before clicking on any links that download files. Sometimes these files can harm your computer.
Tell a trusted adult if you see anything upsetting on the web. If anything you see makes you feel uncomfortable, close the website immediately and tell a grown-up.
